The South Metro Dragons and Dragons Project, Inc have signed a deal to air "Dragons Weekly" on CW23 starting
April 25th at 11:00pm. The show will be hosted by our very own Head Coach and former Minnesota Viking Willie Howard.
Taping will take place at sponsors' location to be named at a later date.
So what can you expect to see on Dragons Weekly?
Game recaps; interviews with players, coaches and fans; features about our charity work; and breakdowns of future opponents.
This show and team wouldn't be possible if not for the support of many people and we will also make sure to feature these wonderful
people on the show as well.
The Minnesota Machine women's tackle football team is going to be featured regularly on the "Dragons Weekly" program. You can
expect Machine player interviews, coaching points, and game recaps. "I would like to thank our 'Big Brothers' the South Metro
Dragons for all of their support with our team," stated Lisa Olson, Owner of the now two year old Minnesota Machine. Olson also said,
"The Minnesota Machine worked with the Dragons during their championship winning season by working the sidelines and having players
support them by watching from the stands. We also worked a charity event and helped build three homes for Habitat for Humanity with
the South Metro Dragons."
The South Metro Dragons are teaming up with the Machine and have purchased two buses for the teams' use for away games and official
team functions. Each bus will be custom built, painted, and refurbished to accommodate the needs of the teams. The South Metro Dragons'
bus has been completed first and they are extending yet another gracious hand out to the Machine by letting their "sister" team use the
Dragons' bus until the Machine bus is complete sometime later this summer.
"I am simply amazed at the generosity the South Metro Dragons management and team have shown to our team and I look forward to growing
an even stronger relationship and partnership with this organization as we have similar ideals and missions." Lisa said.
You can find more information about our "Brother" Team on facebook and on the web at
